Professional Background

Kaitlyn is a career early childhood professional with over 15 years of experience in licensed childcare settings. As the founder and primary caregiver of Develop and Discover, she brings hands-on classroom leadership and a deep understanding of program design to her work each day.

She began her professional career in 2012 at Castle Kids Daycare Center, where she progressed from floater to teacher assistant and ultimately to lead teacher. This early experience provided a strong foundation in classroom management.

Following her time in a center setting, Kaitlyn worked in a home based daycare environment, gaining firsthand insight into the strengths and limitations of small in home care models. This experience would later influence her vision for Develop and Discover.

In 2016, she joined the New Interdisciplinary School (NIS), working initially as a 1:1 aide supporting children with special needs. She later advanced to teacher assistant and ultimately served as one of the school’s lead teachers from 2018 onward. During her time at NIS, Kaitlyn developed extensive experience supporting children with varying needs, maintaining structured classroom environments, and leading within a multidisciplinary team. 

Vision for Develop and Discover

Having worked extensively in both center based and home based childcare settings, Kaitlyn recognized the opportunity to bring together the strengths of each model. She understands that families value care that feels personal, consistent, and reassuring.

Develop and Discover was created from that vision — offering a calm, small group environment that maintains the warmth of home while upholding clearly defined routines and professional standards.
